DELIVERY TIME FRAMES

PLEASE ALLOW THE GIFTLOCAL TEAM 1-2 BUSINESS DAYS TO DISPATCH YOUR ORDER - COURIER TIME IS ADDITIONAL.

We will do our very best to ensure your gift box arrives on time, but we cannot guarantee arrival on a particular date as delays can happen that are outside our control.

North Island: 1-3 business days
South Island: 2-4 business days
Rural: 5-7 business days

DELIVERY CHARGES
Delivery charges apply to a single delivery address within New Zealand.

  • Auckland - $11.50
  • North Island (Excluding Auckland or Rural) - $16.50
  • South Island & Rural - $26.50

SIGNATURE REQUIRED
Due to the nature of our gift boxes, all parcels are sent with a 'signature required' on arrival. This means that someone must be home to sign for the parcel. If no one is home, the courier will leave a card to call to let the receiver know they have missed a parcel. They can use this card to get the parcel redelivered or redirected at a convenient time.

If you’d prefer to give the courier authority to leave the parcel without a signature, simply advise in the special delivery notes box at check out and include instructions on where you would like the courier to leave the gift box.

By giving authority to leave the item, you agree to take full responsibility for the parcel once it has been delivered, as the gift will be left unattended. Giftlocal is not responsible for what happens to the gift box after the courier has delivered the item. If you are concerned about the safety of having an item left unattended, we would strongly recommend sending the parcel as our standard service, 'signature required'.

DELIVERY ADDRESSES
All addresses supplied must be physical as we are unable to deliver to a PO Box. Please ensure to enter the correct details, we are not responsible for any incorrect addresses which have been supplied.

DELIVERING TO A HOSPITAL OR APARTMENT
Please note that couriers deliver to a reception or designated delivery area when sending a gift to a hospital. It is very important to clearly state the hospital name, ward number and room number in the shipping address and as needed provide additional information in the special delivery notes.

When sending a gift to an apartment address, please supply any access codes or additional instructions the couriers may require to be able to access the property/building to allow the timely delivery of the gift.

WHOOPS, MY GIFT IS DAMAGED?
If your gift arrives damaged, you must report it within 24 hours. All original packaging must be kept. Please provide photos when emailing hello@giftlocal.co.nz - we will make a claim on your behalf with the courier and arrange a replacement if the claim is successful.
